Days of Dance
Hey Guys,

Sorry I haven't posted in quite some time. I had some personal things I was dealing with, and wasn't feeling very inspired for a while. But so it goes with these creative outlets I suppose. Anyways, these are some images that I got from a dress rehearsal for one of the Dept of Dance's fall shows.

Halloween school dance.
This dance was on Friday, over the weekend I printed 90 4x6s of my favorite photos and will sell them for $1 each to the kids at my school. It work last year with the Winter Formal, so I figure I'd try to make a little extra cash ;)

sidelines
Guys I have a problemmm!
Friday we're playing our rivals and its the last game of the season. So its uber important! I want to go on the sidelines again because it was really fun and really cool to be down there buuut I was struggling with camera settings. From right on the field the light was different than from in the stands obviously and so I was panicking and a lot of my photos didn't actually turn out that great. (Plus it was freaking pouring the entire time) They were blurry and/or over/under exposed. And for the ones that I did like, I basically got lucky. xD C'est la vie right? ANYWAYS. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this? I dont want to miss things, I want to get the light right AND i want to freeze the players better! Soo I know I need some aperture/shutter advice. I might switch between going in the stands and the sidelines or I might not. I dont know. I'll probably google some night sports photography stuff sometime tomorrow but I thought I'd ask you guys too since you know more than i do :D thanks!

It's my birthday!
It is indeed. I also have a portfolio review on Sunday that will decide if I can continue in my program or not, so this week has it's ups and downs.
I did some work for Florida State's fashion magazine the other week, "Clutch Mag" for their menswear spread. I don't really know why that's their name.
They were all lit with two umbrella strobes on either side (although the left one didn't always off) that I borrowed from the school. I attribute the flaws to the almost not functioning sync cord they gave me.
Shot at 18mm | f4 | 1/250 | ISO 100
For some reason my 18-70 lens wont stop down below wide open (3.5-4.5) so I was having trouble with not overexposing all of these. I was at max ISO and shutter speed, and I had the lights turned down as low as I could get them to go. It was really annoying.

more football
This week hopefully I'll get closer to the field so I actually get some different, better pictures. Its a beast trying to get good pictures with all the movement and the light. I havent quite mastered it yet :P More like cross my fingers and take three hundred pictures, haha.
But also, before everyone gets sick of my football pictures, I need need NEED to get out and take pictures SOON because i haven't gotten out to do my assignment yet -_-
So i promise i'll try and switch it up :P this is just what i've been into photographing right now, :]
